The lodge was incredibly comfortable with spacious sofas that overlooked the beautiful woods, where I had the pleasure of seeing red squirrels daily. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything you could possibly need for cooking and cleaning. The welcome basket was a nice touch and the large TV in the lounge was a fun addition. The beds were comfortable, the shower was powerful, and overall, the lodge was warm and cozy. the location of the lodge was fantastic, with stunning natural beauty all around, including a unique estuary where you can walk over to an island at low tide. The nearby forests were perfect for both mountain biking and walking. There were also some great local attractions, such as a farm shop and a chocolatier.
That the two verandas were not gated, which made it a bit challenging for us with our dogs. The wooden decking was also a bit slippery, so we had to be cautious.

We had an amazing time at the lodge in Dalbeattie. The location was just perfect, with stunning coastal walks and easy access to nearby towns. The lodge itself was incredibly comfortable, well-equipped, and had a beautiful view of the woods. We even got to see red squirrels every day! The hosts were friendly and left a thoughtful welcome basket. The whole place felt like pure luxury and the nearby attractions, like Fort Arthur and the InHouse chocolatier, were fantastic.
The only thing that could have made breakfast better would be more choices.

Spent Christmas in this lovely lodge and had a fantastic time! the lodge was clean, cosy, and spacious, providing a comfortable stay for our family. We especially loved the warm and friendly hosts who made us feel welcome. Plus, the location was perfect for us as we were able to enjoy beautiful walks along the coastline and easily explore the nearby towns. the dog-friendly aspect was an added bonus, our furry friend loved the walks and the nearby beach.
We would have preferred eco-friendly cleaning products and the toilet roll didn't last long with six people. some of the beds were single, which wasn't ideal for the couples in our party.

Comfortable log cabin with great biking trails nearby. Free parking and WiFi! Such a generous reminder of the maximum occupancy, because who wants to be cramped with too many people? Loved it. Oh, and the sarcasm? The sound of every car passing by was just music to my ears. So peaceful.
